Deasey Pond is one of the shorter hikes available within Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument at 0.6 miles one-way. This hike offers a charming view of a pond within the northern boreal forests of Maine. With glacial erratics breaking the water’s surface you can see clues of the landscape’s glacial past. The pond’s trailhead is located just before mile 1 on the Katahdin Loop Road.

Restrooms: There is a vault toilet at the parking area.

Parking: Parking is available just west of the trailhead. The parking area is located to the right on the Loop Road at approximately 45.87072,-68.68235

Trail Etiquette: Leashed pets are allowed on this trail. Carry out all trash and food waste (fruit peels, shells, etc.). Do not feed the wildlife.
