Corinth Tour #1, Stop #3 - Dr. Stout's House
Dr. Joseph Stout was a native Virginian who attended Transylvania University in Kentucky. He moved his family to Corinth in 1858 and built a nice house east of town along the tracks of the Memphis & Charleston Railroad.
(On S. Parkway, across from the Crossroads Regional Park, is a softball field. Dr. Stout’s home was in foul territory beyond left field.)
He also maintained an office where he practiced medicine, located on Jackson Street, between Waldon and Cruise streets.
