Following the boat ramp signs from the entrance of Colbert Ferry, visitors can find two open parking lots, a restroom, boat ramp, and a dock. The parking lots are big and open and allow for boat trailers.
Picnic tables can be found all over a stretch of grass close to the water and under the shade of trees. This makes the location perfect for a picnic lunch and gives a great view of the mile-long bridge over the Tennessee River during a visit.
Colbert Ferry is also an excellent spot for birding in Alabama especially during Spring, Fall, and Winter. Look to the skies (or water!) and see what you can find!
