Scenic View/Photo Spot
At Chasteen Creek Falls, the flow of a small creek tumbles 15 feet (4.6 m) down smoothly worn sandstone with streaks of quartz. The trail to Chasteen Creek Falls follows along an old logging road, making for a relatively flat 4-mile-roundtrip hike along a pleasant creek to the cascade. Chasteen Creek takes its name from Chasteen Reagan, who lived in the area with his family prior to the creation of the park. Wildflowers are abundant here in spring time.
How to Get There
- Hike 3.6 miles (5.8 km) roundtrip beginning at the Bradley Fork Trailhead on the far north end of the Smokemont Campground Road.
