Quick Facts

Historical/Interpretive Information/Exhibits, Shelter/Cabin

It is unclear if this building was constructed or moved here in 1951, but it was used to house Ruby and Robert Hoolihan, employees of the Bond Family who owned the land from 1918 to 1963. Robert was the driver, and Ruby was the caretaker for the Bond's children. The building was painted "ruby red" for her. Water came from the creek beside the commissary and was diverted into pipes that ran into the house. A water heater was connected to the wood stove for cooking and dishes. An outhouse was up the hill.
