The Calumet and Hecla Mining Company Number 2 Warehouse is a single-story wood-frame building with green-painted metal cladding. While rare now, cladding a building in corrugated metal was common for buildings serving industrial purposes in Calumet’s history. Rail tracks ran through this warehouse so that large items could be unloaded or loaded directly to large bays inside. The tracks have been removed, but the large doors allowing trains to pass through the building remain. The building is co-owned by Calumet Township and the school district.
