Explore Callville Bay

When you visit Callville Bay, you can enjoy the area on land or on water. A nearby shaded picnic area has cool grass, grills, restrooms and panels explaining the history of the area.

Across the street, you’ll find the trailhead to the Callville Summit Trail. This 2.7-mile moderate hike requires a short climb, but yields a spectacular view of Lake Mead, Fortification Hill, the Hemenway Valley and the River Mountains.

The Callville Bay Resort is within walking distance and has a dine-in restaurant and lounge, a café and store with many amenities.

Down at the marina, you can rent boats by the hour or launch your own at the launch ramp. Although fishing and swimming are not allowed in the harbor where the marina is located, you can hike throughout the backcountry to find your own secluded cove.

Boating

Lake Level Changing: Keep Alert & Launch At Your Own Risk

  • Boaters should excercise caution and be watchful of unexpected underwater and exposed water hazards.
  • Hazard buoys do not mark every hazard on the water.
  • Be prepared for longer wait times for launching and recovery
  • Ongoing maintenance/construction at ramps may require temporary closures.

Callville Bay is your gateway to the Boulder and Virgin Basins of Lake Mead.

Boating services operated through the park's concessionaries include fuel sales and a variety of boat and equipment rental options to include houseboats. Boat slip rentals are also available. Land and Water-acessed fuel can be purchased at Callville Bay.

For up-to-date boat ramp information refer to Current Conditions at Lake Mead and Lake Mohave. Additionally, visit the boating page for more information.a.
