Important Information about West Beach.

• Buck Island Reef National Monument and West Beach are open to the public daily from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Fishing, hunting and collecting natural resources including shells and coral is not permitted.
• Fires are not permitted on the beach. Please use the grills near the comfort station and picnic area.
• Bring plenty of fresh water, food and reef safe sunscreen. There is nowhere on the island to obtain provisions.
• Boat anchoring is only permitted off West Beach in the marked anchoring area during normal hours

Special Considerations for Wildlife
Buck Island is an important nesting location for sea turtles and shore birds.

• Do not disturb nest sites
• Do not dig holes in the sand
• Pets are not permitted on the beach
