The lagoon is the protected area between the coral reef and Buck Island. It is a shallow, generally calm and clear place that is perfect for snorkeling and accessing the mooring areas and the underwater trail.

Important Information
  • No fishing or collecting is allowed in the lagoon or anywhere within Buck Island Reef National Monument
  • Vessels must be under 42 ft (12.8m) to enter the lagoon
  • Anchoring is not permitted, please use a mooring
  • SCUBA diving is not allowed in the lagoon or the underwater trail
