Scenic View/Photo Spot

This stop on the Coastal Trail tour provides a good vantage point to reflect on bird life seen along the trail. By looking towards the ocean, many shorebirds can often be seen on exposed rocks and on the cliffside. To see local terrestrial birds, turn your gaze inland towards the Visitor Center. The native plants form a habitat for the birds. Take a moment to listen for their calls.

A park bird guide can be found at the Visitor Center and on Cabrillo’s website. This resource provides tips for identifying birds. It also illustrates and names the most common birds found at the park.
