Remembering Revolution

Free Self-Guided Audio Tour

On June 17, 1843, over 100,000 people crowded on this hill to witness the dedication of this immense granite monument. Nothing like it had ever been realized in the history of the young nation. It was a fitting tribute, the builders felt, to those who fought on this ground 68 years earlier on June 17, 1775.

Join us in a free audio exploration of what the audience commemorated that day in 1843, the memory of some of the men who fought here in 1775, and why the monument and men continue to have relevance today.
