Beech Grove School is a small, two-room schoolhouse constructed in 1901 to serve the residents of the Cataloochee Valley prior to the creation of the national park.

How to Get There

  • Park at the Pretty Hollow Gap trailhead near the Cataloochee Horse Camp and walk across Palmer Creek on the wooden bridge. The walkway to the schoolhouse is on the right.
