The Antram-Gray House is one of the oldest surviving commercial buildings in Providence. Opened in 1979 as the memorial’s visitor center, it offers exhibits, a five-minute video, and a bookstore.
Over its almost 300-year history, this structure has seen many different uses. It has been a distillery, private residence, a grocery and dry goods shop, dressmaker's shop, liquor store, hairdresser, restaurant, barber, and watch shop. When the National Park Service took ownership of the building in 1974, it was moved approximately 40 feet south to its current location.
