The quote reading "If this world must become embroiled in a tremendous "war to end wars," I am glad that I, too, may play a part in it." - Alta May Andrews.

The quote runs along the terrace steps reflect the different attitudes during World War I. Reading each one the visitor will take notice that each of their authors are coming to the realization of one pivotal truth. That truth being that no matter where you are from, what religious beliefs you may hold, be you man or woman, those who served were all a part of a larger world community that needed to be defended from those who would seek to harm it.
