Hiking & Hydration
The amount of sun hitting the trail depends on the season. During the summer months the sun shines brightly on the trail for most of the day. In the spring and fall the trail will stay mostly shaded in the morning and evening.No matter when you are hiking, make sure to carry plenty of water. We recommend 32 ounces per person to stay safe. During the hot summer months temperatures on the trail can be over 100 degrees F, and it's easy to become dehydrated if you're not careful. Make sure to drink water regularly, and take occasional breaks in shaded areas. If you haven't stopped for a break recently, now is a perfect time.
