Visitors are greeted with a long mountain view at the intriguingly named Alligator Back Overlook.

The overlook was named for the series of peaked mountains that resemble an alligator's back. Pine trees dip down into the valley creating a long view. Step out onto the small observation deck to read the wayside and learn about predators in the park. View the Doughton Park Trail map with its trails of varying lengths and difficulties to plan your perfect hike!
