Scenic View/Photo Spot

Alger Falls is located 1.2 miles south of Munising right along M-28, on the east side of the highway where M-28 intersects M-94 west. This is the only waterfall in the area that requires no walking and can be viewed right from the road. Most visitors park along the road shoulder. Use care when exiting your vehicle and watch for traffic.

Alger Falls is a cascading waterfall that tumbles over a series of rock ledges; the highest drop measures about 15 feet. It is best viewed in spring when there is a large volume of snowmelt flowing through Alger Creek. The waterfall often slows to a trickle later in summer.

Do not climb on or near Alger Falls as the waterfall is on private land.
