What to Expect
All tent sites at Schoodic Woods are surfaced with compact gravel, and are generally flat. Every campsite in the A and B Loops are generally flat, with a ground surface of packed gravel and may be able to accommodate visitors with mobility challenges.
Each site is equipped with a picnic table and a fire ring, and some sites have electric and water hook-ups for RV's.
All restrooms at Schoodic Woods Campground are accessible, and have paved walkways around the buildings to take visitors to the dish washing sink and dumpster. All restrooms have a larger stall and a open area under the sink with padded piping intended for wheelchair users. There are six restroom buildings at Schoodic Woods, and some sites are a shorter traveling distance to the restroom than others. Refer to the map of campsites on Recreation.gov for more accessibility information.
Group Sites
There are two Group campsites at Schoodic Woods, and they both share a parking lot, with no designated accessible parking spaces. These sites have a short walk in on a non-paved surface. These sites also share a restroom building.Amphitheater
The amphitheater at Schoodic Woods is host to ranger programs all throughout the spring, summer, and fall seasons. The amphitheater has four rows of wooden bench seating. There is a staircase on the left and ramp on the right.
This amphitheater has it's own parking area, which is gravel and has four accessible parking spaces, marked with signs on posts. The walk to the amphitheater from the parking area is a short walk on a paved walkway into the woods across the street from the parking area. There is a sign showing the accessible entrance to the seating area.
