This large parking area is centrally located near the Welcome Center, dining, and recreation in Yosemite Valley. A shuttle stop is located next to the parking area.
This lot cannot be reached by vehicle if taking the left turn over Sentinel Bridge on Southside Drive. Follow signs to Yosemite Village instead.
Tips & Seasonal Information
There is a restroom with flush toilets available next to this parking area.
Sleeping in vehicles or campers of any kind is not allowed in this parking area. Park in designated spaces only. Driving or parking on vegetation is prohibited.
During the busy summer season, especially on weekends, parking fills early and heavy traffic is common in Yosemite Valley. Arrive early to increase your chances of finding parking and avoiding traffic delays, then use the free shuttle system to get around Yosemite Valley.
During daylight hours only, you may store food inside your car or truck (out of sight, with windows completely closed). Do not store food in your car (including trunk) or truck after dark: use the food lockers available in this parking area.
Do not leave food in a pickup truck bed or strapped to the outside of a vehicle at any time.
Accessibility
There are designated accessible parking spaces near the shuttle stop and near the path to Yosemite Village. The restroom next to the parking lot has two wheelchair accessible family restrooms.
