Picnic tables are available beneath views of Yosemite Falls. Drinking water and flush toilets are available. The Lower Yosemite Fall loop trail is located directly next to this picnic site.

Tips & Seasonal Information

This picnic area is open year-round from dawn to dusk.

Bicycles are permitted in this picnic area but are prohibited on the loop trail. A bicycle rack is located next to the picnic area.

Yosemite Falls is a seasonal waterfall fed mostly by snowmelt. By late summer, the waterfall is usually dry. Flow is typically strongest in spring.

Wildlife Safety

  • Keep your distance from animals, even if they approach you.
  • Never feed wild animals.
  • Dispose of trash in bear-proof trash cans or dumpsters.
  • While enjoying your picnic, keep your food, trash, and other scented items within arm's reach.
  • If a bear approaches, yell as loudly as possible to scare the bear away.

Accessibility

The Yosemite Falls Picnic Area is fully paved, flat, and located next to wheelchair accessible restrooms, including a designated family restroom. There are no designated accessible parking spaces nearby. The Lower Yosemite Fall Shuttle Stop is located approximately 1000 ft (300 m) away via a paved, flat, accessible path.
