The Stone marker is a large shiny, black, rectangular granite slab, set on the ground and raised up about two feet from the back side.
A gray granite bench about one foot tall is incorporated into the left side and bends around the full backside of the piece allowing a space for visitors to sit and view the Potomac River.
The slab features three photographs that have been etched onto the granite surface. At the left side is a one by two-foot image of a bridge with water flowing out of its side in five places into the river below. Wavy horizontal lines are etched below the image. To the right is a four-foot tall etching of the corner of a bridge archway as it sits in the water. A shiny reflection of the bridge appears in the calm water below. On the right is a photograph representation of eight men facing the camera as they row in a crew shell on a river.
The area provides a pleasant view of the Key Bridge to the north and Theodore Roosevelt Island across the river to the south.
