Two Ocean Lake picnic area is next to the parking lot and trailhead. The facilities include a few tables, vault toilet, and trash recepticals. Conifer trees provide some shade and the lake is visible through them. Some visitors will carry their canoe or kayak through the shrubs to launch on the lake. Please remember to buy a boat permit if you do so.

Name Origin

The lake is named for Two Ocean Plateau on the Continental Divide in Yellowstone National Park many miles to the northeast. The name is a misnomer since all the water from the lake flows west into the Snake River.
