The Thomas Farm Tenant House is a one-story stone building built in the 1760's. It was constructed on what is now the Thomas Farm and has served several purposes through the years. Throughout its history, the building was utilized for storage, housed free and enslaved people, and was used as a pool house by its most recent residents. Today, the Tenant House serves as place to reflect on the history of the area that is now Monocacy National Battlefield.
The Tenant House is open seasonally, typically from May through October. Inside, there are exhibits about the Monocacy area throughout history. There are also accessible restrooms and a drinking fountain.
Parking for the Tenant House is at Tour Stop Three. There are two accessible parking spaces next to the big red barn and a paved walkway to the door of the Tenant House.
