The Dance Cabin

The dance cabin was the social center of the ranch, where parties entertained dudes and locals alike. Struthers Burt felt it was his duty, as a host, to provide activities and amusement for his guests, from costume parties to dances to card games. In such a remote location-a day's wagon ride from Jackson, in the 1920s-they had to make their own entertainment.
