From its origin in 1902 in a tent in the California Wilderness, Best's Studio, now operating as The Ansel Adams Gallery, has evolved into a center that celebrates the arts and grandeur of our environment. The Ansel Adams Gallery strives to cultivate aesthetic appreciation and a concern for our natural world by offering visitors a unique variety of handcrafts, books, fine arts, and an extraordinary collection of Ansel Adams original photographs. Welcome!

Hours

Year-round: 9 am to 5 pm daily, with extended hours in the summer.
Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve: 10am to 3pm
Christmas Day: Closed

Getting Here

Located in the heart of Yosemite Valley, in Yosemite Village, between the Yosemite Valley Visitor Center and post office, near shuttle stop 5.

Accessibility

The gallery's main floor is accessible by ramp at the front. The upper level is accessible by an outside path (with a short slope of 8 percent) or by steps inside.
