Tetrahedron

Under white clouds, a gray triangular pyramid sits with dark letters L-B-J on its side.
The tetrahedron acts like a windsock, helping pilots see wind direction.

The tetrahedron is a wind direction device used to guide aircraft into the LBJ Ranch. It is mounted on a swivel, so that it can turn, and it will point into the wind. Knowing the wind direction is important for pilots. Takeoffs and landings are always done into the wind.
