Audio Description

As activists traveled here to La Paz to volunteer for the movement, movement leaders built more housing to accommodate them. Hundreds of people lived and worked at La Paz, and they all needed a place to live. Trailers provided a low-cost solution. Look closely for utility posts that provided power to the many trailers that once filled this area.

The current residents of trailers in this area have lived here continuously since the early days of the movement. They are still actively working to protect the rights of farmworkers.

These buildings are private residences. Please respect the privacy of the families who live here.
