This tank house was built by the Sauers before they sold the farm in 1900. While it is used to store laundry supplies today, the structure's primary purpose is to hold the large water tank on top. This cypress tank holds several hundred gallons of water. The tank is filled by the windmill next to it pumping water from a 50-foot deep well. The tank provides extra water storage as well as gravity fed pressure to the water faucet next to it.
