Audio Description

President Hoover traveled to his hometown in 1954 for a celebration of his 80th birthday. Before the festivities he visited West Branch's elementary school named in his honor. "There is no greater honor that can come to a man than to have a school named after him," the former president said at the dedication. The school unveiled the sculpture of the seated president, designed and cast by Steven Maxon and Doris Park, in 2017.
