Quick Facts

Historical/Interpretive Information/Exhibits

At Soda Springs, carbonated water bubbles up out of the ground. The log enclosure surrounding the springs was built in the 1880s by John Baptiste Lembert, for whom Lembert Dome was named. Outside the log enclosure, notice other areas where water percolates up into the meadows. Iron content in this area gives the mud its rusty hue.

To reach Soda Springs, walk a short distance from Parsons Lodge parking or Lembert Dome parking area.
