Quick Facts

Historical/Interpretive Information/Exhibits

Upon leaving President Johnson's grandparents' home, enjoy the drive through the live oak grove to the next two sites, the Cedar Guest House and Oriole Bailey House. Along the way keep an eye out for wildlife which love to take advantage of the shade provided by these beautiful trees. Commonly seen are whitetail deer and blackbuck antelope. If you spot a bird with a long, forked tail doing acrobatic maneuvers to catch insects, you have seen a scissor-tailed flycatcher.
