Location Description: Picnic Grove 26 is located to the south of the Equitation Field along Ridge Road NW. The Equitation Field sits on a slight hill higher than the roadway. Picnic tables in this picnic area are located uphill of the very small parking area. There is no fire pit in this picnic area.
Restrooms: No. The closest public restrooms are located within the Rock Creek Park Nature Center and Planetarium. They are only open during operating hours of the Nature Center.
Parking: Yes- The picnic area is accessed by a small pull-out that can fit six or seven vehicles and shares that space with Picnic Grove #25. There is another pull out located across Ridge Road NW that can fit a few more vehicles for overflow. Parking on the shoulders is not permitted. Please park in designated areas only.
Reservations and Permits: This is a first-come, first-served picnic area and is limited to no more than 25 people.
