Two bronze cannon at Pershing Square were brought by the Spanish for the Castillo de San Joaquin in 1793.
Gathered at Fort Mason for decorations by Gen. Irwin McDowell between 1876-1882, the dates of his known service here. Placed in current position in 1928.
