Oxon Cove is located on the Western shore of Prince George’s County. This is an area of broad Potomac River floodplain and high upland terrace. Elevation can range from less than 10ft above main sea level to nearly 200 ft. The upland terrace is divided by drainages that descend to the floodplain. The flood plain is crossed by Oxon Run. It was originally called St. Thomas Bay until the land was acquired by the DeButts.
