Audio Description

Caleb H. Wickersham, postmaster of West Branch, contracted construction of this building in 1906. One year later, Wickersham signed the federal government to a 10 year lease to house the post office. The post office relocated in 1928 and in the ensuing years the building housed a number of different businesses. The Old Post Office collapsed during renovation in 2011. The present building incorporates bricks and design features, like the arch, from the Old Post Office in its facade.
