Native Grass Plots

Long, thin grass blades emanate from a display plot around a white marker sign in a display area.

Sixteen separate plots have been laid out to exemplify several native grasses typical of the mixed-grass prairie ecosystem. While this outdoor display is a work-in-progress, some plots already have excellent developed examples, such as Lindheimer's muhly (Muhlenbergia lindheimeri), and switchgrass (panicum virgatum).
