The Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias is awe-inspiring. Leave noise and civilization behind to walk among these stately giants.
Visitors have access to parking, restroom facilities, visitor information, and can board a free shuttle for the two mile ride to the Mariposa Grove Arrival Area. See local postings for shuttle information.
Pop into The Depot, a Yosemite Conservancy bookstore, your best source for information on Yosemite, to pick up any maps, guidebooks, gifts, or apparel before or after visiting the grove or shop online!
The road to the grove, beyond the welcome plaza, is closed to private vehicles when the shuttle is operating. Vehicles displaying a disability placard can drive up the Mariposa Grove Road at any time. There are designated accessible parking spaces at Mariposa Grove Arrival Area and at Grizzly Giant accessible parking area. Parking is limited.
Hours
From approximately December through March, the Mariposa Grove Road is closed to vehicles and the shuttle no longer operates. The road, along with all trails within the Grove, remain open to hikers, snowshoers, and skiers.

Getting Here
After entering Yosemite National Park's South Entrance, turn right at the roundabout, the welcome plaza is less than a quarter-mile up the road.
Rules & Regulations
- Bicycles are allowed on the Mariposa Grove Road between the welcome plaza (near South Entrance) and the Grizzly Giant when the road is open for the season. Bicycles are not allowed elsewhere in the the Mariposa Grove.
- Pets are not allowed on any trails in the Mariposa Grove. Pets are allowed in the parking lots on leash only. Pets are not allowed on shuttles.
Accessibility
Vehicles displaying a disability placard can either drive to the Mariposa Grove Welcome Plaza, park in a designated space, then ride the shuttle, or they can drive up the Mariposa Grove Road and park at the Mariposa Grove Arrival Area or at the Grizzly Giant accessible parking area. Parking is limited.
