Memorial for Storer College president Henry T. McDonald. McDonald was not only the longest-serving president of Storer College, but also served as mayor of Harpers Ferry, became a prominent local historian, and promoted the establishment of Harpers Ferry National Monument (now National Historical Park).
McDonald was selected as Storer College president in 1899 and led the school for the next 45 years, seeing the college through its greatest period of growth.
