5.0 miles round-trip, 2.5 hours, 340 ft elevation gain, Easy.
This trail follows the western rim of Flagg Canyon, wandering through lodgepole forests and offering views of the basalt-lined canyon.

Location

This trail can be acessed in multiple locations. From the north, access the Flagg Canyon trail from the picnic area just south of the Yellowstone Entrance. The trailhead is located near the boat launch. 

Notes

At the picnic area just south of the Yellowstone Entrance, there are picnic tables, a vault toilet, a boat launch and limited parking. Bears may be active any place and at any time. Travel in groups, make noise, and carry bear spray. Hikers cannot access backcountry camping from this trailhead.
