Cape Hatteras National Seashore preserves and protects over 70 miles of coastline on the Outer Banks, offering an array of recreational opportunities as well as preserving habitat for many coastal animal species. Three lighthouses, including the iconic Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, help tell the story of the treacherous Graveyard of the Atlantic.
