The Arizona Trail is an ambitious project that traverses the length of Arizona from the Utah border to Mexico. A section of this trail enters the park just east of the park's North Entrance, and roughly parallels the highway until it connects with the North Kaibab Trail, a distance of approximately 10 miles (16 km) > Learn More.

The roughly 21-mile crossing through Grand Canyon showcases dramatic changes in elevation, climate, vegetation, and geology—including nearly two billion years of exposed rock—and is considered one of the most scenic and challenging sections of the Arizona Trail.
