This entrance to the Memorial Garden is paved and relatively flat, with no stairs. Inside the Memorial Garden, there are paved ramps with handrails that provide access between the different levels.

Features of the Memorial Garden represent the beliefs and practices that were important to Cesar Chavez. He was an avid user of reusable resources. Within the garden, ornamental plants, a wall fountain, and religious statues decorate the final resting place of Cesar Chavez and his wife Helen Chavez.
