"A Soldier’s Journey," by sculptor Sabin Howard, is the central feature of the Memorial.  (A mural temporarily represents part of the bas relief). The sculpture tells two stories. The first is the individual soldier’s experience of the War. The second is the experience of a young nation coming-of-age on the World stage. The mural has four panels.
