As of February 22, 2010, a new federal law allows people who can legally possess firearms under federal, Minnesota, and local laws, to possess firearms at Pipestone National Monument. Weapons Prohibited in Federal Facilities:
State law prohibits the possession of Rifles, Shotguns and BB guns in public places such as Pipestone National Monument. Federal Law also prohibits firearms in certain facilities in this park; those places are posted with signs at all public entrances. Refer to: 18 U.S.C. & 930
