Ranger Program - Musket Firing

One of the ranger programs we offer to school groups is a Musket Firing Demonstration. During this program, a ranger, dressed as a Civil War soldier, talks to the group about the lives of Civil War soldiers. The ranger discusses the clothing, camp life, personal items and weapons of a soldier.

During this program, the ranger does fire a reproduction rifle for the students.

Due to the nature of black powder, the Musket Firing Demonstration is subject to weather conditions and may be cancelled without notice. The program is also subject to ranger availability.

You must request this program when scheduling your group.
