Thomas Bradley was an employee on the Allegheny Portage Railroad on Inclined Plane No. 6.

He was born in Ireland and emigrated to the United States in 1856. He worked on the railroad for a few years and then started a mercantile business. He was a partner in the coal mining business with John A. Lemon for five years until Senator Lemon retired. 

Thomas Bradley married Catherine and had nine children.
