Born in Ireland 1832, Stephen emigrated to Middleton, New Castle County, Delaware where he started a family and worked as a laborer until his enlistment in 1861. Records indicate that he was captured on July 2nd during the Battle of Gettysburg and dies on July 3, 1863. He is survived by his wife Mary (married in January of 1850) and their two daughters Bridget 12 and Mary 10.
