Ross, Joseph Mosses

Joseph Moses Ross was born on April 13, 1922, in Rutherford County, Tennessee, and later lived in Murfreesboro. Before military service, he worked on a farm, contributing to the local agricultural community.
Ross enlisted in the United States Army and served as a private during World War II. He was killed in action on January 23, 1945, while serving his country during the conflict. For his sacrifice, he is remembered as part of the generation of Tennesseans who gave their lives in the fight for freedom.
Joseph Moses Ross is laid to rest at Stones River National Cemetery in Plot P-6262, where his grave honors his courage and service.
