Jasper Quiqley was born on January 15, 1849 in Edwards County, Illinois. He resided in Salem at the time he mustered into the 152nd Illinois Infantry, Company F as Private on February 10, 1865.

The 152nd Illinois Infantry first went to Nashville, Tennessee, then to Tullahoma, Tennessee until late February before moving on. Quigley died on March 29, 1865, likely of desease, with the estimated location of his death being Tullahoma. He is buried at Stones River National Cemetery in plot M-5094.
