Wille Frank Kee was born on October 14, 1917 in Rutherford County, Tennessee. He joined the US Army in April 1940 and served at a Civilian Conservation Corps in Georgia before the US joined World War II. Kee stayed with the Army after the war as a Corporal. He was later sent to North Korea towards the start of the Korean War as a member of the 31st Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division.

He participated in the Battle of Chosin Reservoir where he went Missing in Action on December 1, 1950. Kee’s body was found in 1956, but his casualty date is recorded as December 1, 1950. He was awarded with a Purple Heart and is honored at the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C..

Kee is laid to rest in the Stones River National Cemetery in plot P-6299.
